Hershey to Wear "Screaming Bear" Logo and Jerseys for Capitals Nights
September 10, 2025
The Hershey Bears have unveiled a new specialty "Screaming Bear" logo and jersey to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their affiliation with the Washington Capitals. The new logo is a tribute to the Capitals' classic "Screaming Eagle" design, which was worn by the NHL team when the partnership with Hershey began in the 2005-06 season.
The "Screaming Bear" logo features a snarling bear designed in a shape that mimics the Capitals' former logo. The specialty jersey, inspired by the Capitals' "Screaming Eagle" era uniforms, will feature diagonal striping on the front with the word "BEARS", to go along with and a cream, chocolate, and white color scheme. The shoulders feature the club's specialty Bears/Capitals anniversary affiliation logo unveiled earlier this month.
The Bears will wear this special jersey on four Washington Capitals Nights during the upcoming season:
Sunday, November 16 vs. Lehigh Valley
Friday, December 12 vs. Providence
Saturday, January 3 vs. Rockford
Sunday, March 15 vs. Belleville
Following the March 15 contest, the jerseys will be auctioned off post-game.
Since Hershey and Washington's partnership began, the Bears have won five Calder Cups (2006, 2009, 2010, 2023, 2024), and the Capitals won the Stanley Cup in 2018. The Bears will celebrate the partnership with the Capitals throughout the 2025-26 season, and the Capitals will visit GIANT Center for a preseason game versus the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
