The Washington Capitals announced today that they have recalled forward Anthony Peluso from the Hershey Bears. The announcement was made by Washington’s senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan.
Peluso, 28, has appeared in three games with Hershey this season. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound winger was signed as a free agent by the Capitals on Jul. 2 after skating in 22 games with the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season.
Peluso played parts of four seasons in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets from 2012-16. The tough winger has appeared in 142 NHL games, scoring 14 points (four goals, 10 assists), and adding 209 penalty minutes.
The Bears return to action tonight on the road versus the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. at the Moehgan Sun Arena and the game may be heard on the Bears Radio Network.
