Bears Announce Updated Training Camp Roster and Schedule

The 2023 Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears have updated their Training Camp Roster. 

The Washington Capitals have assigned numerous players to Hershey as they reduce their Training Camp roster. Among those assigned to Hershey include team captain Dylan McIlrath, 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs MVP Hunter Shepard, and the team's leading scorer during the 2022-23 season, Mike Sgarbossa. 

The Bears have released forwards Jarid Lukosevicius and Ryan Steele, as well as defensemen Tyler Heidt and Spencer Meier from their Training Camp tryouts. Forward Kevin O'Neil and Tyson Empey as well as defenseman Michael Kim, Benton Maass, and Jon McDonald have been loaned to South Carolina (ECHL), while goaltender Mitch Gibson has been re-assigned by the Washington Capitals (NHL) to South Carolina (ECHL). 

Hershey's updated 2023 Training Camp roster is as follows:

Forwards (20): Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Pierrick Dube, Ethen Frank, Ryan Hofer, Jimmy Huntington, Hendrix Lapierre, Alex Limoges, Connor McMichael, Julian Napravnik, Dmitry Osipov, Aliaksei Protas, Garrett Roe, Henrik Rybinski, Mike Sgarbossa, Joe Snively, Matt Strome, Alex Suzdalev, Bogdan Trineyev, Mike Vecchione

Defensemen: (9): Logan Day, Hardy Haman Aktell, Vincent Iorio, Nicky Leivermann, Jake Massie, Dylan McIlrath, Aaron Ness, Chase Priskie, Colin Swoyer

Goaltenders (2): Hunter Shepard, Clay Stevenson
