Capital Blue Cross Named Title Sponsor for 2018 Outdoor Classic
(Hershey, PA – August 2, 2017) - The Hershey Bears are proud to announce Capital BlueCross as the title sponsor of the 2018 Outdoor Classic, set to take place Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hersheypark Stadium. The club has also unveiled the logo for the special event, which will now be known as the 2018 Capital BlueCross Outdoor Classic, and will serve as the can't-miss engagement of the club's 80th Anniversary Season in 2017-18.
"We're honored to be working with Capital BlueCross on the 2018 Capital BlueCross Outdoor Classic," said Vice President of Hockey Operations Bryan Helmer. Their participation in the game, and the sharp new logo unveiled today, continue to build the excitement for this marquee event."
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Hershey Bears as they bring world class hockey to Central Pennsylvania. The 2018 Capital BlueCross Outdoor Classic provides the opportunity for hockey fans to see the game in an exciting and unique setting, and we are proud to be a part of making that happen,” said Gary D. St. Hilaire, president and CEO, Capital BlueCross. “Supporting the health and wellness of our members also means supporting what’s good for our community and advancing the vitality of the region we call home. The Hershey Bears organization is a terrific partner in that effort, and we are proud to work with them as we bring people together to Live Fearless and show their pride and support for the home team. We look forward to seeing Hersheypark Stadium packed as the Bears face off against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.”

The 2018 Capital BlueCross Outdoor Classic logo was designed by Joe Bosack & Co. of Pottsville, PA. The design features historic Hersheypark Stadium, as well as accents of light blue to represent not only the game's title sponsor, but also the frigid temperatures endured when taking the game of hockey back to its roots.
