Monardo Loaned to South Carolina

(Hershey, PA- January 5, 2017)-The Hershey Bears announced today that forward Domenic Monardo has been loaned to the club's ECHL affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays.Monardo, 28, skated in eight games with Hershey, registering three assists with the Bears. The Bears signed the forward to a one-year contact on July 7 after joining the club last April on a professional tryout agreement. The native of Oakville, Ontario spent the past two seasons with the AHL’s Springfield Falcons. In 2015-16, Monardo appeared in 44 games with Springfield, scoring 13 points (eight goals, five assists).
Monardo has appeared in 14 games with the Stingrays this season, scoring five points (one goal, four assists).
The Bears return to the GIANT Center for a pair of home games this weekend featuring rivalry games and big giveaways. On Saturday, January 7, the club hosts the Utica Comets at 7 p.m. It’s PSECU Knit Cap Night for the first 4,000 fans. It’s also Washington Capitals Night. On Sunday, January 8, the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins come to town for a 5 p.m. game at GIANT Center. The evening features a Jakub Vrana Labatt Blue Pint Glass giveaway to the first 3,000 fans and it’s also Girl Scout Night. Click here for ticket information.
