Hershey Bears Make New Additions to Coaching & Equipment Staff

(Hershey, PA - September 28, 2016) – The Hershey Bears are pleased to announce an expansion to the coaching and equipment staff for this season. Additional positions include a Video Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Certified Athletic Trainer and Assistant Equipment Manager.

The Bears newest staff members are:

· Mike King, Video Coach: King was in charge of player development for the Sudbury Wolves, Ontario Hockey League (OHL), as the Development Coach from 2013-2015. King is originally from Conway, New Hampshire.

· Mike Wagner, Strength & Conditioning Coach: A Hershey native, Wagner has experience working with the University of Maryland, Millersville University and, most recently, Villanova University. Wagner has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement.

· Murphy Luatua, Certified Athletic Trainer: Luatua has previous experience as an athletic trainer in the collegiate, & professional settings. He earned a degree in Athletic Training from Bridgewater College and obtained his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science & Physical Education at McDaniel College. Luatua assisted with the Hershey Bears practices for the 2014- 2016 seasons.

· Josh Famularo, Assistant Equipment Manager: During the 2014-15 season, Famularo interned with the Hershey Bears, under Josh Carter Head Equipment Manager. Previously, he served as Head Equipment Manager of the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms.

“We welcome these important team members to our organization and know these placements will further ensure our players are set up for success this season,” noted Troy Mann, Head Coach of the Hershey Bears. The positions take effect immediately.
