The American Hockey League announced that HERSHEY BEARS center Keith Aucoin has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 4, 2011.A native of Waltham, Mass., Aucoin leads the AHL with 30 assists and 36 points in 23 games this season. The five-time AHL All-Star, two-time Calder Cup winner and former league MVP and scoring champion (2009-10) has moved into 19th place on the league’s career scoring list with 743 points in 653 games over 11 seasons, making him the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in league history. Aucoin also ranks eighth all-time with 525 career assists.
Aucoin was presented with an etched crystal award prior to yesterday's game against Norfolk.
