HERSHEY came out strong at the beginning of the night, and rode that to a 13-10 shot advantage at the end of one. Neither team would score in the second, with the visiting BEARS mustering just five shots in the middle period. The third saw the Pirates blow it wide open with three goals, including one on the power play. Jason Bacashihua suffered the defeat, his first of the season. Rookie goaltender J.P.
