BEARS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT, DOWN LOWELL 5-2
11/04/2009 - HERSHEY scored five goals in the final 26 minutes Wednesday night, defeating the Lowell Devils 5-2 at Tsongas Arena.

Neither team could score in the first period, with Lowell collecting seven shots against Michal Neuvirth and HERSHEY firing six at Lowell goaltender Jeff Frazee. The Devils would break on top in the second period with a goal from Nick Palmeiri to break the scoreless deadlock, but the BEARS would rally and never trail again. Keith Aucoin began a big night by scoring his second goal of the season at 14:11 to tie the score at one. Oskar Osala gave the visitors a 2-1 lead with his third of the year at 16:00, and the BEARS took a 2-1 lead to the third.

Aucoin opened the scoring with his second of the game just 34 seconds in to lift HERSHEY to a 3-1 lead. Dean McAmmond got the Devils within one at 4:06 of the final frame, but it turned out to be the final time Lowell would score on Wednesday. Patrick McNeill scored his first of the season at 11:55, and Aucoin rounded out a hat trick at 16:23 when he scored on a two-on-none odd man rush with Alexandre Giroux. Andrew Gordon recorded three assists in the game, and Neuvirth made 24 saves to earn his second win of the season. It was HERSHEY'S first win against the Devils at Tsongas Arena in four tries.
