The Hershey Bears traveled to Norfolk, Virginia for their final road series against the Admirals. Max Friberg tallied the lone goal of the stanza for Norfolk in the final minute. The Admirals carried a 9-7 shot advantage into the locker room.Norfolk added two more in the middle period, both on deflections, to open a 3-0 lead at second intermission. At the 3:08 mark, Charles Sarault deflected a point shot through Philipp Grubauer's five-hole on the Admirals' first power play of the night.
Matt Bailey added to the lead with 4:01 left in the period by deflecting a John Kurtz shot. Into the third frame, Antoine Laganiere rounded out the game's scoring. He finished a 3-on-1 offensive rush to make it 4-0 with 10:36 left.
