BEARS FANS DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES

For the past four seasons, the Hershey Bears have partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank (CPBB) to be on site for select games, and providefans the opportunity to donate blood.The CPBB is proud to announce that the number of hockey fans donating blood increased from last season. CPBB was on site for four games this season.
CPBB’s website states, “Each year, CPBB member hospitals transfuse over 120,000 units of blood and blood products. CPBB relies on the generous contribution of thousand of dedicated individuals to voluntarily donate blood in the amount needed to provide optimum care of patients in our member hospitals. Individual members, area schools, businesses, churches, civic and group organizations are a crucial part of this life-saving program.”
Sue Billett, Senior Donor Resource Consultant said, “We have a greatpartnership between the fans, the Hershey Bears organization and the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank that helps save lives of patients in our area hospitals. The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank wishes to thank all of the Hershey Bears fans who participate in the blood drives. They are the ones who make the blood drives a success.”
The Hershey Bears organization also would like to thank the fans for their continued support both on and off the ice.
