FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 21, 2010 CONTACT: John Walton â€" HERSHEY BEARS BEARS TO FACE ALBANY RIVER RATS IN 2010 EAST DIVISION FINALS HERSHEY TO HOST GAMES 1 AND 2 THIS WEEKEND AT GIANT CENTER BEFORE SERIES SHIFTS TO CAPITAL DISTRICT, TICKETS FOR FIRST TWO HOME GAMES ON SALE NOW HERSHEY â€" The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that the club will face the Albany River Rats in the 2010 East Division Finals. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst. The BEARS advanced to the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs on Wednesday night with a 4-1 win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Giant Center in Game 5 of the East Division Semi-Finals. Albany earned the right to advance on Monday, completing a four-game sweep of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The series will feature a 2-2-1-1-1 format, with the series to begin with two home games at Giant Center this Saturday and Sunday.
