Whitney Duncan to Sing at Saturday's Game
01/13/2009 - CONTACT: Melissa Stradnick – 717-534-8945 (HERSHEY, PA) — The week ahead proves to be an exhausting one for the HERSHEY BEARS, as they will have four games in five days. On Wednesday, the Albany River Rats are back in Hershey and the BEARS are looking for some revenge. It's "HERSHEYPARK Pass Night", and all fans receive a free ticket to HERSHEYPARK for the 2009 season, valid through July 4, 2009. Then on Saturday the Chocolate and White take on rivals, the Philadelphia Phantoms. Up-and-coming country artist Whitney Duncan will be performing live on the concourse prior to puck drop, and singing the National Anthem, courtesy of WIOV. Duncan released her debut album that introduces her as an intriguing new voice in contemporary country music. She's a Tennessee native who's been following her dreams since she started singing at age 6. For more information on Whitney, please visit her website at whitneyduncan.com. Saturday is also "Adopt-A-Greyhound Night". Come and learn how you can give these animals a loving home. The weekend concludes on Sunday when BEARS face-off again the Worcester Sharks. It's "PSECU Knit Cap Night", and the first 5,000 fans will receive a knit cap, courtesy of PSECU. In support of Choral Night, students from Elizabethtown College will be singing outside GIANT Center, as people exit the game. In support of the football playoffs, fans who wear Steelers, Eagles, or Ravens apparel will get a voucher for a free 22 oz. Pepsi drink, with purchase of $10.00 or more at participating locations. Limit one voucher per person. Fans should stick around after the game as a few players will be signing autographs for 45-minutes in the Club Lounge. *All information subject to change without notice. Each Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday BEARS home game (except HERSHEYPARK pass nights) tickets will be offered for $10.00 in sections 210 and 211—a savings of $6.00 per ticket. Each fan in sections 210 - 211 will also receive a custom designed IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CUP t-shirt.
