Don’t Miss the Thanksgiving Fun this Week in Hershey

November 24, 2008

CONTACT: Melissa Stradnick – 717-534-8945 (Hershey, PA) — The BEARS are back in Hershey for a three-game week. Thanksgiving will start on Wednesday night when the Binghamton Senators come to town for a 7 PM face-off. It’s “Stroehmann Bakeries/Canteen & Covenco Vending Services Turkey Shoot Night”, and all fans are invited on the ice following the game for the opportunity to win Thanksgiving food items. Wednesday is also “Ames Services Night”, with the first 5,000 fans receiving a rally towel courtesy of Ames Services. The fun continues on Saturday when the Chocolate and White take on rivals, the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7 PM. It’s “Capital BlueCross Night”, and the first 5,000 fans receive a fan scroll courtesy of Capital BlueCross. Also, the Central PA Blood Bank will be on site. Fans are encouraged to help the ongoing shortage by donating blood. The excitement wraps up on Sunday when the BEARS play the Norfolk Admirals in a 5 PM match-up. It’s “ZooAmerica Night”; be sure to stop by their table outside section 119 for live animal encounters and a visit with Ranger Scratch. Back by popular demand is “Hatfield Dollar Dog Night”, where hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concessions stands. The Toys for Tots Drive will be taking place again this Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday and fans are encouraged to bring new, unopened toys to be donated to charity. Also, kids will want to come to the barn this weekend because Santa will be there for photo opportunities. Be sure to stop by and get your photo taken with him! In preparation for the upcoming holiday season, fans can donate non-perishable food items to help benefit the Can Hunger Project. Items can be dropped off throughout the week at GIANT Center Box Office during regular business hours, and at home games inside the main entrance on the concourse. Hershey thanks you for your support in helping those less fortunate. Fans should stick around after the game as a few players will be signing autographs for 45-minutes in the Club Lounge. *All information subject to change without notice. Each Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday BEARS home game (except HERSHEYPARK pass nights) tickets will be offered for $10.00 in sections 210 and 211—a savings of $6.00 per ticket. Each fan in sections 210 - 211 will also receive a custom designed IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CUP t-shirt. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled throughout the season because you never know what regional celebrity you could be sitting with! Tickets will be available for purchase at the beginning of each month.
