March 30, 2026

The Hershey Bears and their National Hockey League affiliate, the Washington Capitals, announced today that they have re-assigned forward Patrick Thomas to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

Thomas, 21, has skated in seven games with Hershey this season, logging three points (1g, 2a). He scored the game-winning goal in his professional debut with the Bears on Oct. 18 vs. Springfield.

With South Carolina this season, Thomas has contributed 16 points (3g, 13a) in 30 contests.

Thomas recorded 104 points (27g, 77a) in 66 games with the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) last season. He finished the regular season as the OHL's assists leader and ranked sixth in the OHL in points.

Thomas was Washington's fourth-round selection (104th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The Bears continue the 2025-26 season, presented by Penn State Health, when they visit the Bridgeport Islanders on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Total Mortgage Arena. Hershey returns home to host the Bridgeport Islanders on Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at GIANT Center for Racing Night and Toyota License Plate Night, featuring a Bears license plate giveaway to the first 6,000 fans in attendance, courtesy of Toyota.
