The Washington Capitals, the NHL parent club of the Hershey Bears, have recalled forward Jonny Brodzinski from Hershey. The announcement was made by Washington senior vice president and general manager Chris Patrick.

Brodzinski, 33, has recorded at least a point in all four games with Hershey this season, scoring five points (2g, 3a) with the club. In his last outing on Oct. 11 vs. Texas, Brodzinski scored twice, including the game-winning goal, and earned first-star honors in a 6-1 Hershey victory. He served as an alternate captain with the Bears.

The Ham Lake, Minn. native recorded 16 points (6g, 10a) in 55 games with the New York Rangers last season. Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Brodzinski has registered 71 points (33g, 38a) in 264 career games with New York, the San Jose Sharks, and Los Angeles.

In 317 career AHL games with Ontario, San Jose, Hartford, and Hershey, Brodzinski has recorded 272 points (128g, 144a).
