Seat Ch Ch Changes
Greetings BEARS Fans,

I have to apologize for the delay in seat changes; it seems I get myself into trouble whenever I set dates! The one thing I've learned over the last few years in this job is to expect the unexpected. We had a power outage a few weeks ago, we had mail not making it to the fans and I am behind in changing seats. If you've sent in a renewal form that had a seat change request, please be patient, I will get to you, I promise. I had over 400 seat change requests this year, so it's been keeping me busy all summer.

I am leaving for Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the annual American Hockey League Sales Meetings on July 7th and won't return until July 11th. I will be calling everyone that next week to finalize the seats!

On a side note, I've been playing quite a bit of golf lately. The courses in the area are in great shape! I would suggest checking out the newest course of the Hershey Golf Collection, Hershey Links. The Links offer a private course experience, but is open to the public! The layout is unique, I find it challenging but fair.

I also had the pleasure of catching up with Jim Jones, everyone's favorite "In Game Entertainment Host" yesterday. I must say, Fairview Golf Course looks better than I've ever seen it, the greens were in great shape and the fairways were nice and green. The conditions at "The View" rival any private course in the area. Call right now and book a tee time at either one of these courses!

Okay, enough with the free golf advice! Back to work!

Hope all is well,

-Bob

Power Outage-Week of June 9th
Greetings BEARS Fans,

Giant Center will be without power starting June 7th through June 11th for electrical maintenance. I will be away from my office and cannot be reached via telephone. I can get emails through my BlackBerry during this time (bancharski@hersheypa.com). The Hershey Bears Front Office will re-open with full power on Thursday, June 12th.
If you would like to renew your tickets, please drop the form in the mail. I will still be accepting renewals when we return. You may also drop your form off at the Hersheypark Stadium Box Office.

Sorry for any issues this may cause.

Hope all is well,

Bob

THANK YOU FANS!
As we enter the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, I wanted to first off thank everyone for their overwhelming support this season. We all thought last year couldn't be beat and this year it certainly has. Moving 350,000 people through the gates is quite impressive!

Progams, GETCHA Programs!

On another note, we will be selling past issues of the Hershey Bears programs for only $2.00 during the first round. If you missed an issue, now is your time to get it! The programs contain an overview of your teams proud history.

Hope all is well,

Bob

Playoff Fever!

I just got done sorting through an enormously big stack of playoff forms from this weekend. It is great to see all the support for this team. This weekend was great on many fronts, but seeing Freddie play like he did, brought back some good memories for all of us.

Just a reminder, the playoff forms are due March 31st. You can mail them in or drop them off at the table during games.

It looks like we'll all be in for a treat as we gear up for the playoff run, not to mention some pretty good battles going on in the National Hockey League as well. Let's get behind this team and be the 7th man down the stretch!

Hope all is well,

Bob

Camera Policy
Hello friends,

There have been a lot of rumors floating around recently about the camera policy; I just wanted to pass along this information to you from our Security staff at Giant Center.

From this point forward, cameras will be allowed at Giant Center for Hershey Bears games.

For many years, we have had the "NO CAMERAS" verbiage printed on the back of all tickets. This action was primarily geared toward concert tickets and was at the request of many of the artists that visit our venues. We are keenly aware that picture taking at Hershey Bears games is part of the overall fan experience. We don't mind if you take pictures of the players, but by no means do we condone selling photos.

The "NO CAMERAS" rule was recently enforced due to BEARS fans selling players images on the internet for a profit. This is not only against the PHPA rules, but it is also against the law. If you are aware of anyone taking photos of players and selling them, please notify a BEARS staff member at your earliest convenience. THANK YOU!

Have a great holiday season!

Hope all is well,

Bob

Ticket Delivery
I have been getting a ton of calls today about the Season Ticket Packages not arriving to people's homes yet. I ask that you please be patient. The majority of the tickets went out on Friday and the rest went out Tuesday morning. The post office was closed on Monday, so it may take another day to make it to your home.

How about the Washington Capitals 3-0 start this season. It is great to see the parent club playing well early on. They have a big game at Madison Square Garden Friday night against the Rangers. I'll be tuning into that one!

Hope all is well,

Bob

Season Ticket Holder Party
WOW...What a party last night at Giant Center...

There are so many people to thank, but first, I would like to thank the reason why we all work here, THE FANS. You guys came out last night and really made this kick off night a huge success. It was great to see the smiling faces of little kids and big kids who just met their heroes. That's what keeps me coming back every morning!

I would also like to extend HUGE thank you's to the Giant Center Box Office staff, especially Cathy Lebo for making this event happen. Their staff put in days of work putting this event together and making sure the tickets were all correct and in the right order. I truly couldn't do my job without them. I really appreciate the players coming out in full force, they were great and I know the fans really appreciated the autographs and pictures.

So many people are involved in this event, thank you to everyone involved!

I am always interested in feedback about the event, good or bad. Please contact me at bancharski@hersheypa.com and let us know what you thought about the evening.

Hope all is well,

Bob

Just a friendly reminder to bring your valid ID tonight to the Season Ticket Holder Kick-Off night. I know I sound like a broken record, but this is really important to keep things running smooth...

By the way, some really good hockey and baseball yesterday. October is the best month of sports!

Hope all is well,

Bob

Pre-Season Entrance Time
Hello Friends,

Just a quick reminder. ALL doors for the pre-season games this weekend will open one hour prior to faceoff. This has been the same in years past, but I think we all get used to the hour and a half policy. So stay home a little longer and watch some college football before coming to the rink. Parking is free for all pre-season games.

Hope all is well,

Bob

Season Ticket Invitations Mailed Yesterday
With the help of Diane and our AWESOME mailroom, along with hours of help from the Box Office, we were able to get the invitations out to all Season Ticket Holders yesterday! We are anxiously preparing for an exciting season of hockey and hopefully more record crowds at Giant Center. We decided to combine the Season Ticket Holder Kick Off Night and Season Ticket Holder Skating party this season. The attendance has been sagging the past few years at the skating party and we wanted to give you the loyal fans more chances to get all the autographs and photo's on more of a personal level. I will be looking forward to the feedback from the fans, please let me know what you think!

Anyway, I know my blog isn't quite as exciting as Walton, Wired and Unwired, but I'm here to report the news when it becomes available. If anyone has a name for my blog, let me know at bancharski@hersheypa.com I can't let Walton have the bloggers bragging rights in the office even though his writing and punctuation is a lot better than mine!

Hope all is well,

-Bob

Delay
Loyal Season Ticket Holders,

I would like to personally apologize for the delay in the mailing of the 2007-2008 Season Ticket Packets. I have experienced an amazing amount of interest from old and new fans for next season, I appreciate all the excitment!

We are ironing out some final details to provide the best possible packages for our fans to enjoy. I really don't have a timetable at this point for release, but it shouldn't be much longer...
