(Hershey, PA- January 17, 2017)-The Washington Capitals have announced that forward Chandler Stephenson has been re-assigned to the
Hershey Bears.
Stephenson, 22, has appeared in 36 games with Hershey this season, registering 23 points (six goals, 17 assists) to go along with 26 penalty minutes. His 17 assists are tied for fourth on the club, and he ranks fifth on the team in points. He has tallied five multi-point games this season for the Bears. In 138 career AHL games with Hershey, Stephenson has scored 66 points (21 goals, 45 assists).
The Saskatoon native did not appear in any games with Washington during his recall. Stephenson skated in nine games with Washington during the 2015-16 season, making his NHL debut on Oct. 15, 2015 in Washington’s 4-1 win over Chicago.
