Carey Recalled to Washington

The Washington Capitals announced today that the club has recalled forward Paul Carey from the Hershey Bears. The announcement was made by Washington senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan.Carey, 28, joins the Capitals after a strong start to the season in Hershey. The native of Boston, Massachusetts has posted 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 15 games this season. Carey has struck for points in 11 straight games for Hershey and has points in all but two games this season for the Bears
Last season, Carey posted 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 44 games with the Bears. He skated in four games with Washington, scoring his first NHL goal on Feb. 6 versus New Jersey. He has skated in 26 career NHL games with Washington and Colorado.
The Bears host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this evening at GIANT Center at 7 p.m.
