09/17/2013 - HERSHEY, Pa. - Joel Rechlicz - the man who stands up for any teammate, at any time, in any game situation - netted the shootout goal that helped the Washington Capitals defeat the Philadelphia Flyers by a scored of 4-3 on Sunday night at Wells Fargo Center.
Rechlicz, who has three goals in his entire professional career, had the game on his stick when his backhander beat Flyers goaltender Ray Emery in the last of the fourth round with neither team on the scoreboard.
Forward Ryan Stoa tied the game for the Capitals with less than 22 seconds remaining in regulation.
Goaltender David Leggio matched Philipp Grubauer's effort from Saturday in stopping all four Flyers shooters.
