TIM KENNEDY NAMED TO 2015 EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STAR ROSTER

January 6, 2015

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Tim Kennedy has been named to the Eastern Conference roster of the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino.  The announcement was made by the AHL and Bears president/general manager Doug Yingst.

For Kennedy, 28, his selection for participation in the upcoming All-Star Classic will be the third in his seven-year professional career.  Injuries sidelined the native of Buffalo, New York from participating in 2009 and in 2013.

Kennedy has produced 27 points (two goals, 25 assists) while remaining one of only three Bears players to have dressed in all 34 games this season.  His 25 assists rank third in the AHL, his 14 power-play points rank tied for second, and his 13 power-play assists are tied for the league lead entering the AHL’s 14th week of play.

Kennedy has amassed 235 points (62 goals, 173 assists) in his AHL tenure.  He is poised to play his 300th game in the league this month, with his total now standing at 294.  His professional career includes stops in Portland, Hartford, Rochester, San Antonio, Worcester and Hershey.

In 162 career National Hockey League games, Kennedy has tallied 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists) with Buffalo, Florida and San Jose.

The 2015 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino will be held at the Utica Memorial Auditorium in Utica, New York on Sunday and Monday, January 25-26.  Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the starting lineups via official CCM AHL All-Star Fan Balloting in the near future.
