Wellness and Environmental Initiatives Mark Weekend at Home

(Hershey, PA – March 12, 2014) – The Hershey Bears play back-to-back home games at GIANT Center this weekend with an emphasis on wellness and environmental initiatives. Saturday, March 15th is “Penn State Hershey Medical Center Wellness Night” and Sunday, March 16th is “Think Green Night.”
Upon entry for Saturday’s game, the first 5,000 fans will receive t-shirts complimentary of Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The entire GIANT Center concourse will be filled with nearly 15 different departments from the Medical Center to help fans learn about health and wellness.
On Sunday evening, “Think Green Night” features a Proac Corporation Eco-Friendly Tote Bags giveaway to the first 3,000 fans. The game will also include fun recycling themed intermissions and the last specialty jersey auction of the season post game. Kirman Eye will be on-site collecting old glasses and sunglasses for the Lions Club eyeglass recycling program. Waste Management will also their ‘Bagster’ on-site collecting various pet care items, such as, canned pet food, cat litter, kong and nylabone toys, etc. for The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc.
