2013 TEDDY BEAR TOSS THIS SUNDAY

Hershey, PA – The Hershey Bears host their annual Teddy Bear Toss Night on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at GIANT Center. An annual favorite, the WGAL & Northwest Savings Bank Teddy Bear Toss is one of the longest-running theme nights that the Hershey Bears have hosted. The donated bears are given to numerous local nonprofits in the area.
"The Teddy Bears Toss has become a popular annual tradition," said Doug Yingst, President and GM of the Hershey Bears. "Our loyal fans enjoy the event knowing that needy children will appreciate the toys throughout the holiday season."
Teddy Bear Toss Fun Facts:
· 12,497 stuffed animals were collected during the 2012 Teddy Bear Toss.
· 13 different associations benefitted from the Teddy Bear Toss Night during past seasons.
· The Hershey Junior Bears, a nonprofit partner of the Bears, volunteer to help collect and count the items on the ice.
· Stuffed animals will travel from as far as the top of the 200 level all the way down to the ice.
· Teddy Bear Toss Night dates back to the days when the Bears played in the Historic Hersheypark Arena.
Come watch the Hershey Bears take on the Providence Bruins and throw teddy bears on the ice after the Bears score their first goal.
