The
Hershey Bears took the ice at the Norfolk Scope for the final time ever against the Admirals. Through one period, the two teams remained scoreless. Norfolk had an 8-6 edge in shots at intermission.
Into the second period, the
Hershey Bears cashed in as a two man-advantage turned into a 5-on-4 power play. As Admirals' goalie Ryan Faragher was scrambling on the ice, Stanislav Galiev fired a quick bullet from the slot into the net. The Chocolate and White carried that lone tally into intermission, leading 1-0.
An insurance goal was not easy for the Bears to achieve in the final period, until Casey Wellman scored into an empty net with 1:06 to play. Pheonix Copley completed the 25 save clean sheet for his club's tenth shutout of the season.
