HERSHEY BEARS ANNOUNCE OPENING NIGHT ROSTER

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears announced today the full group of players which will comprise the 2014-2015 opening night roster. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.The complete roster is as follows:
GOALTENDERS (3): Brandon Anderson, Pheonix Copley, Philipp Grubauer
DEFENSEMEN (7): Connor Carrick, Tomas Kundratek, Jon Landry, Mike Moore, Steve Oleksy, Cameron Schilling, Patrick Wey
FORWARDS (14): Joel Broda, Dane Byers, Chris Conner, Philippe Cornet, Stanislav Galiev, Dustin Gazley, Caleb Herbert, Tim Kennedy, Garrett Mitchell, Kris Newbury, Tim Spencer, Chandler Stephenson, Nathan Walker, Casey Wellman
Of the 24 players on the team roster, 15 played all or part of the 2013-14 season in Chocolatetown.
The roster features 10 players who hail from the United States, 10 from Canada, one each from the Czech Republic, Germany and Russia, and Australian-raised Nathan Walker, who became the first from his country to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft this past summer.
Head coach Troy Mann and assistant coaches Bryan Helmer and Ryan Murphy are set to make their debuts behind the bench as the Hershey Bears begin their 77th season of play tomorrow, October 11 on the road against the Norfolk Admirals. Face-off from Scope is set for 7:15 PM. Tomorrow, and during all 76 regular-season games, fans may listen to the live game broadcasts on the Hershey Bears Radio Network of affiliates WQIC-FM 100.1, WTKT-AM 1460, WOYK-AM 1350, WRBT-94.9 FM HD-2 and via the iHeart Radio application for Apple and Android devices on WTKT-AM 1460. “Voice of the Bears” Scott Stuccio returns for his fourth season in Chocolatetown and his eighth season in the American Hockey League.
Hershey will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the club’s home opener on Saturday, October 25. The Bears will wear special opening-night jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, and the first 8,000 fans will receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of PNC Bank.
