BEARS RECALL FORWARD T.J. SYNER FROM READING

HERSHEY, Pa.– The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that the club has recalled forward T.J. Syner from the ECHL’s Reading Royals. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.Syner, 24, has been a key fixture in the Royals’ offense, tallying 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 16 games this season. In his most recent reassignment, Syner is coming off of a five-point game in which he recorded his first professional hat trick on Wednesday, March 13.
With the BEARS, the 5-9, 180-pound native of Springfield, MA has recorded seven points (three goals, four assists) and a plus-one rating in 34 games played.
Syner joined the BEARS late last season following completion of his fourth year at UMass-Amherst (HE). He recorded 97 points (37 goals, 60 assists) in 135 career games with the Minutemen, and was a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award in his senior season.
The HERSHEY BEARS are home for a pair of games this Saturday, March 16 at 7:00 PM against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and on Sunday, March 17 at 5:00 PM against the Adirondack Phantoms. The first 5,000 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive a t-shirt courtesy of Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The first 3,500 fans on Sunday will receive a gift card to Hershey CKC Pharmacy. Also on Sunday, the BEARS will wear special St. Patrick’s Day themed jerseys which will be auctioned off for charity following the game.
