December 5, 2011

The American Hockey League announced that HERSHEY BEARS center Keith Aucoin has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 4, 2011.

A native of Waltham, Mass., Aucoin leads the AHL with 30 assists and 36 points in 23 games this season. The five-time AHL All-Star, two-time Calder Cup winner and former league MVP and scoring champion (2009-10) has moved into 19th place on the league’s career scoring list with 743 points in 653 games over 11 seasons, making him the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in league history. Aucoin also ranks eighth all-time with 525 career assists.

Aucoin was presented with an etched crystal award prior to yesterday's game against Norfolk.
