BEARS/LAKE ERIE MONSTERS GAME TO BE CARRIED ON SIRIUS/XM SATELLITE RADIO FEBRUARY 20
GAME AT GIANT CENTER PART OF SIRIUS/XM AHL PACKAGE DURING NHLâ™S OLYMPIC BREAK, JOHN WALTON, ED COFFEY AND JIM JONES WITH THE CALL OF THE ACTION
HERSHEY â" The 2009 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that the clubâ™s game on Saturday, February 20 against Lake Erie will be carried live throughout the United States and Canada on Sirius/XM Satellite radio. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The game on February 20 will be carried throughout North America as part of the AHLâ™s agreement with Sirius/XM to carry games during the NHLâ™s Olympic Break. 12 games will be carried from February 16 to February 28 while the NHL is off for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. John Walton, in his eighth season as play-by-play voice of the Bears, will call the action with color analyst Ed Coffey and sideline reporter Jim Jones.
Sirius/XM has carried select AHL regular-season, playoff and all-star action on NHL Home Ice since 2006.
