HERSHEY BEARS Wives and Girlfriends rally to help with Haiti relief and BEARS fans respond
After the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti two weeks ago, you would have been hard pressed to find an organization not reaching out to help. The
Hershey Bears wives and girlfriends were no exception. Led by Sara McNeill, wife to defenseman Grant McNeill, the girls quickly organized relief effort for the weekend immediately following the earthquake. The girls worked with the Red Cross collecting money and raising awareness about the people of Haiti and how to help. BEARS fans responded in a tremendous way. The girls raised $2889.39 in total donations over the span of the two games.
On behalf of the BEARS and wives and girlfriends we want to thank the fans that so generously gave to the relief efforts.
