BEARS PLACE KEITH AUCOIN, JOHN CARLSON AND MICHAL NEUVIRTH ON PLANET USA ALL-STAR ROSTER
THREE MORE BEARS HEADING TO PORTLAND FOR AHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC, FIVE PLAYERS PLUS COACHING STAFF AND TRAINERS BOUND FOR MAINE
HERSHEY â€" The 2009 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that center Keith Aucoin, defenseman John Carlson and goaltender Michal Neuvirth have been named to represent HERSHEY on the Planet USA AHL All-Star team that will compete in the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic in Portland, Maine. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Aucoin returns to the All-Star Classic, leading HERSHEY in scoring with 36 points. Both Carlson and Neuvirth will be making their first appearances in an AHL All-Star game in their rookie seasons. Carlson ranks third among all AHL rookies in scoring with 24 points. Neuvirth, currently on recall to Washington, has a 10-5-0 record and a 1.99 goals against average.
HERSHEY'S representatives in Portland include Aucoin, Carlson and Neuvirth for Planet USA, Alexandre Giroux and Andrew Gordon for the Canadian AHL All-Stars, along with head coach Mark French, assistant coach Troy Mann, head trainer Dan "Beaker" Stuck and equipment manager Justin Kullman.
The BEARS play in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday before hosting the Binghamton Senators this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
