Celebrate the Holidays with the Hershey Bears

(HERSHEY, PA) — Start the holiday fun this weekend when the Bears are back on home ice for two big games. Saturday, they will take on the Rochester Americans at 7:00 PM,and then Sunday the Toronto Marlies visit Hershey for a 5:00 PM face-off. Saturday is the 3rd Annual Individual Ornament Silent Auction. Every member of the team has created their own unique ornament, and each will be auctioned off during the game. The auction begins at the end of warm-ups and ends with the start of the third period. Bidding for the hand-painted ornaments starts at $50.00. Be sure to bid early and often as these make great holiday gifts! Sunday is “Pennsylvania Lottery Night”, with the first 4,000 fans 18 or older receiving a FREE instant game coupon. It’s also “Ugly Holiday Sweater Night”, and all fans are encouraged to wear their ugly holiday sweaters for the chance to win holiday prizes. On Sunday, fans have the opportunity to bid and win the ultimate holiday gift—dinner with Greg Amadio and Patrick McNeill. The silent auction will start at the end of warm-ups and conclude at the start of the third period. The winning bidder will have Greg and Patrick come to their house, make dinner, and enjoy a great evening of food and fun. Proceeds will go to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to assist in feeding those in need for the holidays. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide $9.00 worth of food to a needy family in the area. All weekend long fans can purchase one-of-a-kind signed holiday ornaments for $20.00 each. Each individual ornament is signed by the 2009-10 Bears team. Visit the wives and girlfriends outside section 118 to get yours. There are a limited number of ornaments so be sure to get yours early before they’re gone! All proceeds from both ornament sales will benefit Penn State Children’s Hospital.
