BEARS FALL IN ALBANY FRIDAY

December 11, 2009

HERSHEY kicked off a short two-game week with a 3-0 loss in Albany to the River Rats Friday night. Albany scored twice in the first period to lead 2-0 after one period with goals from Chris Terry and Nick Dodge, in the midst of a 15-5 shot barrage. HERSHEY would turn the tables in the shot department over the last two periods, but could not find a way to slip any pucks past Albany goaltender Justin Peters. Peters finished up with a 36-save shutout as the River Rats hung a loss on the Bears for the second consecutive Friday. Jason Bacashihua, who made several key saves in the second period to keep the game close, suffered the setback. BEARS Radio Network Three Stars of the game: 1. Justin Peters (Another impressive effort in shutting out the Bears) 2. Jacob Micflicker (Three assists) 3. Chris Terry (Game-winning goal) Notes: Oskar Osala (lower body) and Darren Reid (undisclosed) were both injury scratches Friday night. Sean Collins, Grant McNeill and Patrick Wellar all were healthy scratches. The BEARS return home to face Graham Mink and the Rochester Americans Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Giant Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. HERSHEY and Albany will not meet again until January 15 at Times Union Center. The River Rats will next visit at Giant Center on Saturday, January 30.
