Capitals Assign Karl Alzner to Hershey
ARLINGTON, Va. â" The Washington Capitals have assigned defenseman Karl Alzner to the
Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.
Alzner, 21, is a second-year pro who stands 6â™3â, 206 pounds. The Burnaby, British Columbia, native has two assists in five games with the Capitals this season. Alzner has played 19 games for Hershey this season and has one goal, three assists and only four penalty minutes. His +14 rating is tied for third in the AHL.
