BEARS AT HOME SUNDAY VS. HARTFORD

December 6, 2009

HERSHEY wraps up three games in three nights Sunday, playing host to the Hartford Wolf Pack at Giant Center. Face-off is at 5:00 p.m. Chris Bourque, who was assigned by the Washington Capitals Saturday afternoon after being claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh, scored two goals and assisted on a third in HERSHEY’S 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Norfolk Admirals Saturday night. Bourque’s second goal proved to be a third period game winner as the BEARS twice rallied from two goals down to win. Goaltender Michal Neuvirth, who came on in relief in the second period, earned his ninth win of the season. Keith Aucoin, Jay Beagle and Kyle Wilson each provided single goals in the comeback. Hartford lost in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Saturday night 4-1 after falling in Manchester 7-1 on Friday. High-flying centerman Corey Locke leads the Wolf Pack in scoring with 12 goals and 33 points. Defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti is second on the club in scoring heading into action Sunday with six goals and 22 points. Hartford is currently in sixth place in the Atlantic Division. Seven other games are on the AHL docket Sunday, including the Adirondack Phantoms and Springfield Falcons at Mass Mutual Center in western Massachusetts. Portland is in Worcester to swim with the Sharks, while Manchester wraps up three games in three nights with a date in Lowell against the Devils. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is on the road Sunday to face Albany at Times Union Center, Manitoba is at Rockford, Texas is in San Antonio to play the Rampage at AT&T Center and Rochester wraps up a two-game trip to Abbotsford against the Heat. Sunday’s game can be heard via the BEARS Radio Network (100.1 FM and www.Sportsjuice.com) beginning at 4:40 p.m. John Walton, Ed Coffey and Jim Jones have the call of the action.
