HERSHEY plays the middle game of a three-game road trek Saturday, stopping in Binghamton to faceoff with the Binghamton Senators. Face-off is at 7:05 p.m.
A narrow setback at Adirondack kicked off the trip Friday as the Bears fell 2-1 to the Phantoms at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Rookie defenseman Kevin Marshall scored the game-winning goal in the third period to lift Adirondack to a one-goal win as Michal Neuvirth suffered the loss. It was Neuvirth’s first appearance of the 2009-10 season.
Around the East Division Saturday, the Albany River Rats travel up the Northway to face Adirondack at 7:30 in Glens Falls, the first meeting of the new season between the freshly minted I-87 rivals. Elsewhere, Norfolk travels to Bridgeport to face the Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m., and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins host Syracuse at Wachovia Arena. Face-off in Wilkes-Barre Township is 7:05 p.m.
Saturday’s game can be heard via the BEARS Radio Network (100.1 FM and www.Sportsjuice.com) beginning at 6:40 p.m. eastern. John Walton has the call of the action from Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. HERSHEY returns home next Saturday to face Binghamton at
Giant Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the
Giant Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
