BEARS OPEN PRESEASON FRIDAY AT HOME

The BEARS kick off the 2009 preseason Friday at home against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at GIANT Center. Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m., with general admission tickets available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. It’s the first exhibition game of the year for HERSHEY, who will play a three-game preseason this weekend prior to the regular season opener eight days from now at home against the Norfolk Admirals. Newcomer Jason Bacashihua is expected to draw the start in goal Friday for HERSHEY, after a successful season with Lake Erie (AHL) last season. Todd Ford will serve as backup goalie on Friday. Francois Bouchard, Andrew Joudrey and Steve Pinizzotto, all returning members from last season’s Calder Cup squad, will make up the first line tonight for new head coach Mark French.
