Chocolate and White Close Out Regular Season Home Games this Week
04/06/2009 - CONTACT: Melissa Stradnick - 717-534-8945 (HERSHEY, PA) — The 2008-09 regular season home games will come to a close this weekend at the barn. On Saturday, the Philadelphia Phantoms come to Hershey for a 7 PM face-off. This is the last time the BEARS and Phantoms will go head-to-head in regular season play as this is the final season for Philadelphia. It's "Fairview Golf Course Night", and the first 3,000 fans receive a BEARS branded golf ball courtesy of Fairview Golf Course. It's also the annual "Hatfield Ham Shoot", and all fans will have the opportunity to win prizes from Hatfield on the ice following the game. Finally, the Central PA Blood Bank will be on site. Help the shortage of blood by donating. Just in time for the holiday! On Saturday only, the wives and girlfriends of the players will be holding their annual "Player Basket Auction". Each BEARS player will be represented with a basket to be silent auctioned throughout the game. Bidding will conclude at the end of the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Humane Society. Stop by and see these great baskets outside section 119, and help the BEARS help others! Then on Sunday, celebrate Easter with the BEARS as they take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at a later start time of 6:00 PM. It's "Player Awards" and "Fan Appreciation Night". Be sure to come early, as player awards will be handed out prior to puck drop. There will also be great prizes given away for Fan Appreciation Night; everything from a 32" Samsung Flat Screen TV to signed BEARS and Capitals merchandise and lots more! Since it's the last regular season game, there will be a special "Jersey's Off Our Backs" auction. These jerseys are one of three the Chocolate and White have worn all season long. Stick around after the game for your chance to bid on these authentic, game worn jerseys. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity. *All information subject to change without notice.
