Ugly Holiday Sweater Night this Saturday

December 15, 2008

CONTACT: Melissa Stradnick â€" 717-534-8945 (HERSHEY, PA) â€" The holidays will get started early this Saturday when the BEARS take on the Lowell Devils in a 7 PM face-off. It’s “Pennsylvania Lottery Night”, and the first 4,000 fans 18 or older receive a free instant game coupon to redeem at Turkey Hill. Come early to get your lottery coupon for the chance to win some extra holiday cash. Saturday is also the popular “Ugly Holiday Sweater Night”, where all fans are encouraged to wear their ugly holiday sweaters for the chance to win prizes. Whether you’re looking to win prizes or looking for a good laugh, Saturday is sure to be a fun night at the barn. Then on Sunday, the Lake Erie Monsters visit Hershey in a 5 PM puck drop. It’s the ever-popular “Hatfield Dollar Dog Night”, and hot dogs will be offered for a dollar each at various concession stands. This is the last weekend for the BEARS' wives and girlfriends annual “Holiday Ornament Sale and Silent Auction”, with the money being donated to Hershey Medical Center Children’s Hospital. Each member of the team, including both coaches and Coco will be decorating a special Christmas Tree Ball that will be auctioned off. In addition there will also be 150 numbered team signed Christmas balls for sale. These make the perfect Christmas gift for the Bears fans on everyone’s lists. Finally, new this year is an auction for the “Ultimate Christmas Gift”, which is dinner for four, prepared in your home by Dean Arsene and Andrew Gordon! The guys love to cook so don’t miss out on this opportunity. All proceeds from this will be donated to the PA Food Bank. Both auctions will conclude at the end of the second intermission on Sunday, December 21. Winners may pick up their decorated ornament at that time. The winner of the dinner will be contacted for additional details. The wives and girlfriends will be set up behind section 119 on the concourse. Be sure to bid early and often. The Toys for Tots Drive will be taking place again this Saturday and Sunday, and fans are encouraged to bring new, unopened toys to be donated to charity. Also, kids will want to come to the barn this weekend because Santa will be there for photo opportunities. Be sure to stop by and get your photo taken with him! *All information subject to change without notice.
