November 21, 2008

The BEARS get back to action Friday, kicking off a two-game all-East Division weekend. The action starts in Philadelphia Friday against the Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY is coming off its most lopsided win in years, defeating the Binghamton Senators 9-0 Sunday at GIANT Center. The game capped off a perfect 3-0 weekend in which the BEARS scored 19 goals and won all three against East Division foes. The Sound Tigers will make its first appearance of the season at GIANT Center Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Tyler Sloan remains on recall to Washington this week. Sloan skated for the Caps both Wednesday and Thursday this week in Anaheim and Los Angeles, and is expected to stay with the club at least through this weekend. The Capitals are 1-1 in California this week, defeating Anaheim 6-4 Wednesday night at Honda Center and falling 5-2 to the Kings at Staples Center Thursday. Friday around the East Division features the struggling Albany River Rats on home ice at Times Union Center against the Syracuse Crunch. Face off in the Capital District is at 7:00 p.m. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is on the road a long way from home Friday, facing off with the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena at 7:00 p.m. Binghamton is home to start a stretch of seven games in ten days Friday against the Toronto Marlies at 7:05 p.m., while the Norfolk Admirals are still in New England Friday. The Ads face the Springfield Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Bridgeport is idle Friday in advance of the team’s visit to GIANT Center Saturday.
