BEARS ANNOUNCE 2008 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
HERSHEY TO PLAY THREE GAME EXHIBITION SLATE PRIOR TO UPCOMING 2008-09 REGULAR SEASON, PRESEASON TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY, AUGUST 4 AT 10:00 A.M.
HERSHEY â€" The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the schedule of games that will make up the 2008 preseason schedule. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The BEARS will play two home games prior to the 2008-09 regular season at GIANT Center. HERSHEY will host the Norfolk Admirals on Sunday, September 28 at 5:00 p.m. before welcoming the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to town on Saturday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. The home games will be the first opportunity for fans to see this year’s team, whose roster includes Graham Mink, Dean Arsene and Keith Aucoin.
The Chocolate and White will also play one preseason road game in Wilkes-Barre Township against the Penguins at Wachovia Arena. The date for the road game is Friday, October 3rd at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets are on sale for the 2008 preseason games at GIANT Center starting Monday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. General admission tickets are $7, with groups of 15 or more able to purchase tickets for $5.
Season ticket plans for the upcoming 2008-09 season are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR, with plans starting at just $145. The American Hockey League is expected to release the 2008-09 schedule of games in early August, with HERSHEY slated to play 20 different opponents including Houston and San Antonio.
