By Jess Mikula

Eight different BEARS skaters scored Friday night, as HERSHEY downed the Manitoba Moose 8-3. The win marks the 13th consecutive home victory for the BEARS this season, a franchise record.

Andrew Joudrey put the BEARS on the board midway through the first period, potting his sixth of the year from Oskar Osala and Jay Beagle at 10:07. The Moose answered on the man advantage, as Mathieu Schneider buried a slap shot from the left circle at 10:55. Keith Aucoin scored the go-ahead goal for HERSHEY, firing a wrister high glove side on Manitoba netminder Cory Schneider at 12:42. Patrick McNeill tallied the lone helper on Aucoin's 23rd of the season. The BEARS matched the Moose with eight shots on goal in the first and carried a 2-1 lead into the second.

Chris Bourque converted a 5-on-3 for his 12th goal of the season early in the period, sending a one timer top shelf past Schneider at 3:07, assisted by Aucoin and Alexandre Giroux. Visiting Manitoba capitalized on a turnover in front of the HERSHEY net with Marco Rosa at 4:55. After Kyle Wilson was denied by Schneider, Steve Pinizzotto potted the rebound to give the Chocolate and White its second two-goal lead of the night with his eighth of the season at 6:25. The BEARS maintained a 4-2 advantage after two.

Rosa scored his second of the night at 2:41 to bring Manitoba back within one, but HERSHEY would score four unanswered goals in the third period. Bourque fed Giroux for a one timer in the slot at 7:25, with Andrew Gordon getting the deflection in front of the net for his 20th of the year. Osala picked up his 11th goal of the season 39 seconds later, with assists from McNeill and Beagle. Wilson struck at 9:24 for the Chocolate and White to find his 17th of the season and extend his goal-scoring streak to six games. Boyd Kane and Pinizzotto added the assists. Beagle rounded out scoring for the home team with his eighth goal of the year, netting a shorthanded marker on the backhand from Kane at 12:24.

Braden Holtby earned his 17th win in net this season, turning aside 22 of 25 shots. The HERSHEY power play converted twice on eight chances, and the penalty kill denied the Moose on three of four opportunities.
