It's a Bear-Filled Weekend in Chocolate Town
12/02/2009 - (HERSHEY, PA) — Saturday is the annual "WGAL/Belco Community Credit Union Teddy Bear Toss", where all fans are encouraged to toss teddy bears on the ice when the Bears score their first goal. All teddy bears will be donated to charity.
Also on Saturday, the Cancer Recovery Foundation will be holding a silent auction outside section 124 for a 2009-10 Hershey Bears team autographed jersey. The bidding will start at $500 with all proceeds benefitting the Cancer Recovery Foundations BEAR-Able Bag Gift Program for children living with cancer.
Sunday is "Hershey CKC Pharmacy Gift Card Night", and the first 3,500 fans will receive at $10.00 gift card good at any Hershey Pharmacy store. It's also the popular "Hatfield Dollar Dog Night", where hot dogs will be offered for a dollar each at various concession stands.
The "Toys for Tots Drive" is going on through this weekend. All are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the 2009 Toys for Tots Drive. In addition, Santa will be on-site for photo opportunities all weekend long.
Fans are encouraged to stick around after the game as a few players will be signing autographs for 45-minutes in the Club Lounge.
